Dear Me,
A lateral career move is more challenging than I could have imagined, and the 2008-2009 economy doesn't help either. However my the desire to design and to solve the UI problems remains_rock_solid.
Having researched and consulted numerous industry professionals for feedback I have come to accept that my current skills might get me somewhere, elsewhere. But for UX in Microsoft, I need a lot more hard work.
I understand we hire for the very best, therefore refused to be discouraged. I might not be the perfect child right now, but time will prove. Time will prove that I can be both the "Gold Star" in my current role AS WELL AS the dream role in UX.
The long hibernation is over. I am back working on my garage UX projects again. Dear 'me' - don't give up on me.
