I AM AN ARTIST, I AM NOT AN ARTIST
Graphic Style
I am an artist.
I am driven by colors.
That's doesn't mean I disapprove black and white. In
fact, in my college years, I immersed myself in professional dark room, hand-printed
countless black and white photos from famous photographers. Those were the days
when I found myself
almost drowning in sepia toner
and developing solutions, spending overnights in workshop trying to
learn "depth", and create "mood".
In digital design though,
I simply enjoy using the right colors to serve right business purpose,
and implement designs to send the desired message.
I am NOT an artist.
I enjoy commercial work. I design to please the public,
please those who use my service. Not Picasso, not art
school professors. Art is for everyone.
I am an artist.
I enjoy what I create, disagree comments like "Art and design is
NOT NECESSARY", or "Just a bunch of buttons".
Good design does not limit itself to
adjectives like "decorative" and
"fanciful". Good design is a show of respect to your viewer.
I am NOT an artist.
I have no art college degree to show you. I only have what
I think are essential - a pair of good eyes and a passion for
good design.
I am an artist.
I respect originality. Unless specified by client, I
refrain from copying.
I am NOT an artist.
I communicate, I listen. I follow rules (I live in a real world).
Most importantly, show up punctually at work and consistently
turning in quality projects in a lightening speed! (Ask anyone who
ever works with me!)
